Channa dal-Coconut chutney

Another chutney variety to go with most of your breakfast dishes.


Ingredients to grind:
Grated Coconut ½ cup
Channa Dal 4 tsp
Urad Dal 3 tsp
Red chillies 5
Garlic pod 2
Ginger( minced) 1 tsp
Red onion ½
Tamarind juice 1 tsp
Coriander leaves

Tempering:
Mustartd seeds
Oil

Salt to taste


1) To 1 tsp if oil, add channa dal, urad dal,red chillies and roast it for few minutes until the dals turn golden brown
2) Mix all the above mentioned ingredients to grind with the roasted dals.
3) Grind it in to a fine paste (Add water if it too thick).Add salt and mix it well.
4) Do the seasoning with oil, mustard seeds, another red chilly (if u want it hot) and curry leaves

Best with idly,dosa.
